Dennis R. Phillips, Mayor of Kingsport, Tennessee, recently proclaimed that May 4, 2011 be recognized as David McClaskey day. David was honored because of his lifetime of achievement as a management consultant which has included receiving the 2010 Ned R. McWherter Leadership Award from the Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence, assisting seven companies to win eight Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Awards, as well as co-founding and leading the McClaskey Excellence Institute. David, who has been a career long resident of Northeast Tennessee, is a recognized national expert in the field of quality management and performance excellence.
