As the Director of Customer Relations and Marketing, Katie Wood has the pleasure of fostering meaningful relationships with new and existing clients, soliciting new business, and communicating with all of our current and potential customers. Along with recruiting companies to attend the classes, she also coordinates class enrollment, logistics and scheduling, and manages the business/administration/finance side of McClaskey Excellence Institute. In her role of building and maintaining relationships, Katie keeps people informed and engaged via our social media accounts.
Katie has an excellent background in hospitality, event planning, business management, and customer service. For two years she worked as an Event Manager at the Hyatt Regency Lexington, Kentucky, and three years as the Catering Sales Manager at the Knoxville Marriott Downtown. Katie was also the General Manager at the Hale Springs Inn in Rogersville, TN.
Katie joined McClaskey Excellence Institute in December 2012. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Transylvania University in Lexington, KY, along with a double minor in Communications and Hospitality Management.
